A morning routine that leads to productivity is, in fact, a science. But no worries, it’s not a rocket science so you can easily master it.

Take just 30 to 40 minutes each morning when you first wake up to go through this quick 8-step morning routine.
You will see your life will begin to shift and change in ways you never imagined.

    1. Set your alarm right (and do NOT hit snooze).

According to recent studies done in this field, ”morning people” are often more productive and healthier than ‘ night owls ”.  So set your alarm early to seize the day.

[ But if you are a night owl, and you just can’t bring yourself to weak up at 7 a.m, that doesn’t mean you can’t have a productive morning that leads to productive day too. You can just make you ”mornings” take place a little later, maybe you could try to wake up at 9 am. ]
The most important thing is to get in tune with your body.

Pro tip: put your phone across the room so you need to actually get up to turn your alarm off.

    2. Stretch

Stretching in the morning has several health benefits! From stress relief to improved circulation, so you do NOT want to miss on a good morning stretch right after you wake up. You will feel instantly more awake and more ready to carry on the rest of the day in the same, productive tone.

      Time spent: 5 minutes

    3. Hydrate.

This one is really no brainer.
After sleeping for 7-8 hours without water, your body is practically begging to be replenished, so the best way to jump-start your body is to drink at least a glass of water. This will also flush out toxins from your body,  and that is a GOOD thing, trust me.

pro tip #1: Drinking around 0,5 – 1  L water before eating in the morning will literally do wonders for your digestion

pro tip #2: Add a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime to your water

    4. Make your bed.

No need to explain this one.

    5. Practice mindfulness.

Mindfulness is the basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.

Did you know that mindfulness is scientifically proven to reduce anxiety, increase body satisfaction, improves cognition and help the brain to reduce distraction?
Well If you haven’t, now you know!
No wonders why so many successful people start their day by practicing mindfulness.

      Time spent: 5 – 10 minutes

    6. Plan your day.

Make your daily to – do list. It will help you manage your time more efficiently.
      But be careful!
We often tend to make to-do lists that are just too long and too ambitious and at the end, we end up the day feeling disheartened because there’s still so much left to do.

So, after making your long to-do list just choose three things that you need to achieve that day (prioritize) and emphasize them with color pencil or marker, or you can even write them in your separate to-do notebook.

Pro tip: If you finish all three task, and you still have some time left that day, then you go on and try to accomplish rest of the things from the list

      Time spent: 5 minutes

    7. Handwrite an affirmation.

      – Create a statement affirming that you will achieve your goal
      – Handwrite that statement at least 10 times in your notebook

The goal is to genuinely believe you will achieve the thing you wrote, you can even repeat to yourself that statement every so often throughout the day.
Maybe you are wondering why you should do that?
Well, because when you genuinely believe something will happen, your brain looks for ways to make it happen. And guess what then? It really does happen.

( There’s even scientific explanation for this called reticular activation ).

Pro tip: Start your statement with ‘I will…’ (NOT ‘I will try’ or ‘I hope’)

      Time spent: 5 minutes

    8. Have a healthy breakfast.

This is a huge one! 19691301_10211431507654755_1104368104_n

Why?

Because it is important to kick-start your metabolism right in the morning and it is important to give your body energy it wants after a full night of post.

Time spent: around 15 minutes

Now your mind and your body are ready to seize the day!

Really commit to doing this for one month regardless of how you feel first thing in the morning because remember: success is not an action but a HABIT!
